Hello Keizer….

Good things happend all around Keizer over the past week.

The Rotary Club of Keizer raised more than $90,000 for club projects at its annual Go for the Gold Raffle held Saturday, April 6. Since its beginning in 1965 the Rotary Club has donated over $1.25 million for projects locally and globally.

Speaking of Rotary, the Culinary Department at McNary High School hosted Rotarians to lunch at the school to showcase the program and tout the team is heading to nationals in Baltimore later this month.

For patrons of the arts, Keizer Homegrown Theatre opens Silent Sky on April 12, running through April 28. The show tells the story of Henrietta Leavitt, a pioneering astronomer in the last 19th century. Its themes are very much relevant today.
