Graffiti everywhere

For the last several months, many Keizerites may have noticed the increase in graffiti around town near residences, in the parks and in other high traffic walking areas.

According to Parks Division Manager Robert Johnson, the graffiti nowadays is “the worst I have seen in my almost 17 years working for Keizer.”

One arrested in March shooting

A 26-year-old Keizer resident was arrested and charged on March 29, with five counts related to a shooting in the parking lot outside of Kolbys Restaurant, Bar and Billiards in the late hours of Saturday, March 2.

Keizer Station altercation

On March 15th Keizer Police arrested four minors and one adult for charges dealing with an altercation that occurred in front of Massage Envy in Keizer Station.

Keizer kid fiddles way to state title

Bradley Guptill, age five, of Keizer, won first place in the Oregon Old Time Fiddle Contest held in Lebanon on Saturday, March 16. He is the son of Scott and Celeste Guptill. Guptill won in the Small Fry division and will represent Oregon at the national contest in Weiser, Idaho[Read More…]

A contemporary ’80s tough guy movie 

Like a lot of millennials, I was first introduced to a lot of ’80’s movies via Family Guy. From that context, I gathered that the film Road House involved Patrick Swayze in mom jeans and violence, but other than that, I couldn’t tell you anything else. 

I can tell you a bit about the 2024 re-imagining with Jake Gyllenhaal, though.
