Loaded weapon found at Forest Ridge Elementary
A loaded handgun was found on Dec. 28, at 2:30 p.m. on the northern side of the Forest Ridge Elementary school campus.
Genealogical research assistance at Keizer Library
The Keizer Community Library will host professionals from the Willamette Valley Genealogical Society every 2 and 4 Monday of each month from 5 - 7 p.m.

Pharmacist co-pays it forward
Truly living up to the spirit of giving, Dr. Laura Smith, a pharmacist working at the Fred Meyers pharmacy on 2855 Broadway St NE., took $500 and on Dec. 19, her 45 birthday, paid the co-pays for patients at the pharmacy.
New City Attorney, new year, new disagreements
The Keizer City Council met on Jan. 2 to discuss topics leftover from the previous year and approve the onboarding of a new City Attorney, though disagreement appeared as another main topic of the night.
Coffee with a Cop
The Keizer Police Department hosted the Coffee with a Cop event on Dec. 19 at Starbucks located on 4943 River Rd N.
Home Show opens Jan. 12
The Mid-Valley Home Show, the oldest and largest home show in the Mid-Willamette Valley will open on Friday, Jan. 12 and run through Sunday, Jan. 14.
