Members of All City Young Life engaged in a harmless color war on Monday, May 15, on the grounds of Keizer Community Church on Wheatland Road. Based on the Hindu festival of Holi, each person is showered with colored chalk powder. The ‘war’ is designed to build fellowship and camaraderie.

For the first time in 21 years, Oregon’s Distinguished Young Women Kiele Jarnagin will be representing the city of Keizer at the Distinguished Young Women’s National program in June.
Distinguished Young Woman to intern at Keizertimes
Student journalist Madison Lietz started a new internship with the Keizertimes this week.
After competing in the Keizer’s Distinguished Young Woman scholarship program, Lietz was contacted for her interest in an internship. Lietz is a junior at McNary High School, who since last year has shown a growing interest in journalism.
