Senators win Mavericks League championship
They were the league’s top offense, and surrendered the second least runs in the regular season. And while their season was up and down, the Senators finished the 2022 Mavericks League season on top.
The 9-2 win against the Mavericks in the championship game on Saturday, Sept. 3, capped off an amazing run through the final month of the season. The Senators went 11-3 in August, averaging more than 10 runs per game in that time, and moved from last place to first — giving them the regular season pennant and an automatic berth in Saturday’s game.
Senators win streak hits double digits
The late-season surge from the Senators just keeps going, as their win-streak has reached 11 games after a sweep of the Mavericks.

Volcanoes offense returns down the stretch
Coming into Friday’s series opener with the Campesinos, the Volcanoes offense had gone dormant, scoring just 26 runs in the seven games played in August.

Volcanoes back at .500 after 2-1 series split
After an extra innings loss on Friday, the Volcanoes came out on top of their three-game series with the Mavericks with wins on Saturday and Sunday.

Senators sweep with record offense
The Senators scored 43 runs in their three-game sweep of the Campesinos, a record number of runs scored without a home run hit.
Surging ‘Sinos sweep
Twice Mante Woods came up with the bases loaded in extra innings for the Campesinos this week. Twice he delivered walk-off wins.
There had only been one walk-off win this season in the Mavericks League — the Volcanoes last week against the Senators. With their two in Week 12, the Campesinos finished off a three-game sweep and are now only .5 game behind the Mavericks for first place.
Mavericks maintain first place with 2-1 series split
The Mavericks came into the week jostling with the Volcanoes at the top of the standings.
After the 2-1 series win against the Senators, the Mavericks hold a .5 game lead. But it’s now the Campesinos who sit directly behind the Mavericks.
