Miguel Camarena, the McNary High School boys soccer coach, came out of the locker room on Thursday, Sept. 18, to a surprise.
At center field, Athletic Director Brad Lomax, backed by a line of cheerleaders, glorified Camarena’s career over the loudspeakers. Camarena’s two sons, Milanno and Biaggio Camarena, held a framed jersey that read “Camerena, 350.”
The game that night against Roosevelt High School was the coach’s 350th in a 23-year career.
