McNary High School boys soccer players were honored with all-conference awards recently. Coach Miguel Camarena and Senior Fernando Zepeda were named Coach and Player of the Year.

The McNary High Schools boys soccer team continued their win streak by beating South Salem High School on Friday, Oct. 10.

Miguel Camarena, the McNary High School boys soccer coach, was recognized for his 350th game on Thursday, Sept. 18. The Celts beat Roosevelt 2-1 after the re ceremony.

The McNary High School girls soccer team went 3-9-2 last season. This year, the team hopes to rebound and develop its young talent.

The McNary High School boys’ soccer team played Portland's Grant High School on Thursday, Sept. 4. McNary beat out Grant 3-2.

McNary lost a close game to Lakeridge on Tuesday, Sept. 2. The Pacers kept dominant possession of the ball, beating out the Celtics 2-1.

After securing three district titles in a row, the McNary boys' soccer team is after a fourth. With 93 players on the roster, Coach Miguel Camarena said his varsity roster is reloaded with fresh talent.
McNary High School athletes and coaches were recognized at the annual Salem-Keizer Beacon awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 10. Three Celts took home “Athlete of the Year” awards, and the boys soccer coach was awarded “Coach of the Year.”
