PHOTOS: McNary boys soccer beats South Salem

The McNary High Schools boys’ soccer team continued their three-game win streak by beating South Salem High School on Friday, Oct. 10.

According to Coach Miguel Camarena, McNary’s match against South Salem was a midfield battle. Both teams had few scoring opportunity in the first half. Nicholai Friedman scored the first goal in the second half. That game-winning goal was the sophomore’s first in a varsity game.

The Celts came away with a 1-0 win the league contest. They also beat Sprague High School 4-1 on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

McNary is now 7-3-1 and faces North Salem High School on Friday, Oct. 17. The Vikings are 4-4-3 and was beat 4-0 by McNary earlier in the season.
