Willamette Valley Thanksgiving pour tour

Having to deal with stress during the holidays from family, children or work? Then look out for these upcoming Thanksgiving weekend wine events going on throughout the Willamette Valley area. 

Ankeny Vineyards 

This vineyard, located at 2565 Riverside Dr. in Salem, has two events going on Saturday Nov. 25 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. as well as Sunday Nov. 26, from 2 – 4 pm. 

On Saturday, Ankeny vineyards will host a jazz-inspired evening with wine, wood-fired pizza and the Gail Gage Band. Cover charge is $5 per person. 

On Sunday, Ankeny vineyards will host another live music night with performances from some of the most talented vocalists in the valley: Jamila Maries and Nathan Olsen.

Knudsen Vineyards 

The next vineyard on our tour is located at 9419 NE Worden Hill Rd. in Dundee, in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. Enjoy a special holiday flight until Nov. 26. Closed only on Thanksgiving, the vineyard is offering a special holiday flight that pairs great with some of their Thanksgiving-inspired snack plates.

Willamette Valley Vineyards 

The next stop in our tour is a local favorite. Willamette Valley Vineyards in Turner is hosting a series of events this Thanksgiving weekend and further. 

First up is an intimate, 45 minute wine tasting that includes a guided wine selection that is perfect for the holidays. This event will be happening Friday Nov. 24 – Sunday Nov. 26. The time of the event for all days is from 11:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

General admission is $45 per person and includes a Riedel Oregon Pinot wine glass, a $10 wine credit to be used on your favorite wine of the day and a ticket to another upcoming event. 

Redhawk Winery 

Last up on the pour tour is the Tanksgiving Weekend Festival hosted at the Redhawk Winery on Michigan City Lane in Salem. 

The event will be going on Nov. 24, 25 and 26 and will have music from 1 – 4 p.m. as well as food trucks available from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. No cover charge and no reservations are required to attend though parties of eight or more are recommended to enjoy the full experience. 

Artists and food are slated for each day with Friday having the Blacksmith Neighbors playing with Curbside Bacon serving, Saturday having a performance by Orvil Ivie and B’s Plate serving. Sunday will feature musician Joni Harms with food served by Lobster Dogs.
