Multiple events will be occurring in the Salem-Keizer area this coming Veterans day.

Forged in Fire winner Josh Navarrette will be performing a forging demonstration and talking about his non-profit aimed at helping both veterans and first responders.

Capacity Solutions, a mental health facility, will be hosting a fundraiser in an effort to prevent veteran suicide at The Rec this coming Veterans Day from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The event will be catered by Adams Ribs, have kid-friendly activities and will conduct an auction as well as have presentations by multiple businesses including NK Forge & Metalworks and Valor Mentoring.

The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs will also honor veterans of all eras during its Veterans Day ceremony at Wilson Park at the state Capitol. The event will feature comments by several dignitaries and special guests.

The event is open to the public and uncovered seating will be provided for attendees. Accessible pathways and seating areas for those needing accommodations will also be provided.  Attendees are reminded to plan accordingly for Oregon weather.
