McNary High School has hired Kinsey McNaught as the new head softball coach, the school announced in a press release Wednesday.
“My focus is on instilling valuable life skills through sport while nurturing a love for the game,” McNaught said in the press release. “I am excited to lead our program with my experience, dedication and commitment.”
McNaught is a native of Keizer, a 2016 McNary graduate and a second-year business teacher at McNary.
As a student, she was twice named to the All-State softball team before playing collegiately at Whitworth University in Spokane.
McNaught replaces Kelly Parsell as head coach after two seasons. In her two seasons at McNary, Parsell was back-to-back conference coach of the year while winning 43 games, losing just four conference games in the span.
