Poetry Out Loud finals in Salem Saturday

Nine Oregon teens will duke it out in poetry performance on the stage of Salem Public Library’s Loucks Auditorium Saturday, March 9.

Students perform classic and new poetry written by others in an effort to become the new state champion.

Oregon Poet Laureate Kim Stafford will be a special presenter during the event.

Perfromances will begin at 1 p.m. will run through 4 p.m. when the winner is declared. 

Salem Public Library is located at 585 Liberty Street S.E. Oregon’s Poetry Out Loud competition is sponsored by the Oregon Arts Commission.
