Friends of Felines closed for repairs

The Friends of Felines adoption center will be closed for six weeks to the public every Sunday and Monday, starting Feb. 11 and ending March 18.

The adoption center will be closing due to the need to train newly hired staff, renovate the center as well as begin the demolition and construction of the new Feline Wellness Clinic next door in the former thrift store, according to executive director, Chelsea Marks.

Friends of Felines will be open for business every Tuesday – Saturday at normal hours 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. for adoptions and visitors while construction is underway.

The overall goal for the wellness clinic is to provide accessible and affordable care for all cats as well as education about responsible animal ownership via spaying or neutering.

Those interested in following the progress can check out the Friends of Felines Facebook page for pictures, updates and more information.
