The Keizer Fire District will host the first in a series of free emergency preparedness classes next Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m. in the Keizer Fire Station.
In an effort to be prepared for large emergencies such as the wildfires, rising summer heat as well as the blistering winter chills, it is easy to lose track of how to plan for smaller emergencies and issues.
The class–an introduction to emergency preparedness–is the first of four training sessions and this lesson is designed to help the public gather the items they already have available at home and better organize them as well as make future purchasing easier.
The following classes will cover how to prepare for longer (March 6), pets and other considerations for an emergency (Apr. 3) and first aid practices (May 1).
The community is welcome to attend any or all courses though attendance at all four is not required.
