With Halloween around the corner, Salem’s Nightmare Factory is preparing to scare thousands of people when it opens on Thursday, Oct. 5, through Oct. 31, on the campus of the Oregon School for the Deaf.
The hours for the popular attraction will be 7 to 10 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Fridays and Saturdays hours are 7 to 11 p.m.
Returning this year will be the Pitch Black Event on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3 and 4.
An addition to the Factory this year is the Monster Experience. Two people can skip the line and go through the attraction with one of the main characters of their choice. The cost for the Monster Experience is $40 per person.
For those celebrating their birthday, the Birthday Experience is available for groups of up to eight people. The cost for the celebrant is $40, while the rest of the party pay the regular admission rate. This requires advance registration by calling Sharon at 503-378-3825.
Admission to the Nightmare Factory is $20. A Speed Ticket is $30—for a shorter line.
The Oregon School for the Blind is located at 999 Locust St. NE.
