Preparation for the 2023 Englewood Forest Festival is underway and local artists, craftspeople, dancers, nonprofits and performing artists are invited to apply to be part of the event.
The free, family-friendly festival offers a day of art, music, environmental awareness and community connection and is scheduled for Aug. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Englewood Park, 1260 19th St. NE in Salem.
Festival organizers encourage early applications, which can be found at englewoodforestfestival.org.
After review, notification of acceptance will be delivered at the beginning of the month, along with an invoice due 30 days after. A sliding scale based on ability to pay will be available.
The festival began in the 7-acre Englewood Park in 2017.
