Teens to take stage in Frozen Jr.

Salem-Keizer Inspirational Teen Theatre (SKIT) will stage live theater again with Frozen Jr. in January.

Frozen Jr. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

Anna, Elsa, Olaf and all of the favorite Frozen characters embark on an epic, ice-filled journey of self-discovery, and the real meaning of true love. This musical includes favorite Frozen songs such as Love Is an Open Door, Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, and Let It Go

The show features a cast of 30 teenagers.

A public dress rehearsal will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12. Tickets for this performance are $6.

Regular performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Fridays Jan. 13 and Jan. 20 

2 p.m. matinee shows will be held on Saturdays Jan. 14 and Jan. 21.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for teens and seniors. Kids 2 to 12 are $6.

All performances will be at Salem First Methodist Church, 4555 Silverton Rd. NE.
