McNary High School has resurrected its bowling team with two new coaches who will lead the season come September. Denny Eubank, 44, will lead the effort, assisted by Kyle Read, 36. The two share high hopes for the team’s future.
McNary High School athletes and coaches were recognized at the annual Salem-Keizer Beacon awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 10. Three Celts took home “Athlete of the Year” awards, and the boys soccer coach was awarded “Coach of the Year.”

Jordan Koskondy, a track and field athlete, the daughter of Keizer dentist Ruth Abraham and husband, Ron Koskondy, will head to Lima, Peru in August to compete in the World Athletics U20 Championships.
