The city's Public Arts Commission has two vacancies on its committee, which meets at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every other month beginning in January. This commission is responsible for reviewing, evaluating and documenting every piece of art owned and displayed by the city. It also serves an advisory role in recommending guidelines for the selection and placement of artwork - giving preference to Oregon artists. The Parks Board and Traffic Safety/Bikeways Committee also needs a high school student as a volunteer Youth Committee Liaison.
Anyone interested in applying for a position can pick up an application at Keizer City Hall at 930 Chemawa Road NE, access an electronic version at www.keizer.org, or call/email Deputy City Recorder Debbie Lockhart at 503-856-3418 / [email protected]
Applications received by Wednesday, July 6, 2022 will be interviewed at the Thursday, July 14, 2022 Volunteer Coordinating Committee meeting.
