Central Valley Conference runners were in the spotlight Wednesday at the district championships, where nine McNary runners qualified for the state championships on Nov. 4.

McNary boys cross country came away with another overall top finish in a league meet at Wednesday’s Central Valley Conference District Preview at Oak Knoll Golf Course.

At Wednesday’s Central Valley Conference meet at Bush Park, McNary cross country varsity boys took first place, and the varsity girls placed second.

Junior Vince Estrada finished with the top time in the boys competition as the Celtics finished second as a team.
