Warming shelter welcomes those in need during holiday season
The Seed of Faith warming shelter, which usually only activates at 35 degrees or less, will be open until the morning of Dec. 26 regardless of the temperature. The shelter doesn't turn away anyone as long as there is available space.

Starr selected as new Keizer city councilor in split vote
Shaney Starr, the executive director of CASA of Marion County, was selected to fill former councilor Ross Day's position on the Keizer City Council during a special session Monday. Four Keizer city councilors voted for Starr and two councilors gave their vote to Michele Roland-Schwartz.
