Chamber, KNOW need food sorters, gift wrappers
Volunteers will be needed to sort through donated food and wrap gifts for the Keizer Network of Women and Keizer Chamber of Commerce’s annual giving basket program next week. Food sorting will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 9, and gift wrapping on Thursday, Dec. 10 in the empty space next to the chicken shack.

Keizer Fire District (KFD) will be hosting a drive-thru Candy Cane Day on Saturday Dec. 19 where kids have the opportunity to receive a candy cane from Santa.

Keizer church goes green
As part of their open door initiative five local United Methodist churches, including the Clear Lake United Methodist Church in Keizer, have elected to go green and switch to solar power. Trinity United Methodist Church, in Salem, will be the last one to go online.

Food collection set for KNOW baskets
Though the Miracle of Lights display will not be collecting canned food, there will still be a collection sight set up for the Keizer Network of Women (KNOW) giving basket program. Drive-through to drop off canned food at Gubser Elementary School this weekend, 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
