Celtics get seven all-league selections

Lacey Vasas went 12-1 in the circle this season and was a first-team all-league selection (File).

Nine McNary softball players were named as local all-league selections for the 2021 season. The Celtics finished the season 16-2.

Taylor Ebbs (SR): First-team outfielder.

Batted .500 with seven home runs, 24 RBIs and 31 runs scored. She also had an OPS of 1.541 and a .984 slugging percentage.

Kaylee Schwab (JR): First-team outfielder. 

Finished the season with a .432 batting average with two homers, 10 RBIs and 14 runs scored. 

Kate Ronning (SR): First-team infielder. 

Batted .362 with a homer and 14 RBIs to go along with her 19 runs scored.

Abbi Covalt (SR): First-team infielder. 

Had a .375 average this season with 21 hits, 10 RBIs and had a pair of homers. She also had an on-base percentage of .453.

Ali Martinez (FR): First-team infielder

The freshman third baseman had the second best batting average on the squad, hitting .469 with a .527 on-base percentage, 13 runs scored and 14 RBIs.

Heather Ebner (SO): First-team catcher.

Homered five times on the season and had 23 RBIs. She also batted .431 and had a 1.174 OPS. 

Lacey Vasas (SO): First-team pitcher.

Had a 12-1 record and a 1.97 ERA. She threw 13 complete games and struck out 77 in 74.1 innings.

Shaylee Custer (SR): Second-team outfielder.

Batted .432 with a .659 slugging percentage and a 1.149 OPS to go along with her 14 RBIs and 19 runs scored.

KJ Custer (SO): Second-team infielder. 

Had a .444 on-base percentage with 13 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
