The City of Keizer is looking for volunteers to serve on the following committees and commissions:
• Budget Committee – Responsibilities include assisting the City Council in the examination and analyzing of proposed budgets for Keizer. Applicants must be registered voters in Keizer.
The committee meets in May of each year to review the annual budget (three vacancies).
• Keizer Planning Commission – Help the city make decisions regarding land use, growth, development and beautification. There are state-mandated guidelines for the composition and organization of this group and members are required to file a disclosure of economic interests (two vacancies).
• Keizer Points of Interest – meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. to identify and memorialize points of interest (one vacancy).
• Youth liaison and pages – teens can apply to be youth voices on many of the city’s committees. Meeting times depend on assignment.

Applications are due by Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 5 p.m. to be considered during the Aug. 20 meeting of the Volunteer Coordinating Committee.
