With the return of Fall sports near, there was another return at McNary High School — Blue Day.
The annual Fall sports kickoff event returned after a two-year hiatus on Saturday, Aug. 20. Varsity, J.V. and freshmen teams, as well as McNary Youth Football and Mid-Valley Youth Soccer, showcased their skills in front of friends and family.
After a two year break, Blue Day, the annual Fall sports kickoff at McNary High School, returns on Saturday, Aug. 20 with the slogan “Bring back the tradition.”
Blue Day runs from noon-5 p.m. and features varsity, junior varsity and freshman football and volleyball, boys and girls soccer, cross-country, Mid-Valley Soccer Club and McNary Youth Football.
The McNary High School Class of 1972 has scheduled it’s 50th year reunion for Thursday, Sept. 22. A pre-event golf game will be held that day, beginning at 10 a.m. at McNary Golf Club. McNary High School was the site of vandalism sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Vandals dumped 2,000 gallons of epoxy track paint and shattered the tank of a toilet in the concession stand at Flesher Field.
