New towing ordinance in Keizer

A new city ordinance dealing with towing vehicles was adopted by the Keizer City Council on April 3, after its approval at the March 4 city council meeting. 

Graffiti everywhere

For the last several months, many Keizerites may have noticed the increase in graffiti around town near residences, in the parks and in other high traffic walking areas.

According to Parks Division Manager Robert Johnson, the graffiti nowadays is “the worst I have seen in my almost 17 years working for Keizer.”

Quintero promoted 

In front of family, friends, the Keizer City Council and Keizer Police Department, Keizer Police Officer Paul Quintero was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on March 18, in the Keizer City Council Chambers. 

Keizer Police swear in new officer

Standing surrounded by family, friends and around a third of the Keizer Police Department, unity was on the mind as City Attorney Joseph Lindsay swore-in new Keizer Police officer, Jesse White.

Emergency service workers keep Keizer safe

Last week, Jan. 15 – 19, Keizer saw a lot of inclement weather from snow and ice to freezing rain resulting in the closing of school and businesses for the better part of the week, though Keizer’s emergency service workers received no such relief.
