Keizer’s biggest event begins this week as KeizerFEST opens at Keizer Rapids Park, with the always-popular kick-off party set for Thursday, Aug. 8. Attendees will enjoy a dinner catered by Adam’s Ribs Smoke House. Cost is $10 per person, $5 for kids. Entertainment for the party will include Tony Graham, followed by Rustic Valley.
Next weekend will see the inaugural Riverwalk Art Fair, presented by the Keizer Art Association. The art fair will be on the paved path, between the Keizer Rotary Amphitheatre and the river. Only Oregon artists are allowed to have booths.
Keizer will finish out summer with seasonal sunny weather, with temperatures in the 80s and 90s. There is still plenty of time to get out and explore Oregon by camping, hiking or beaching. If you go, especially in central or eastern Oregon, be mindful of fire restrictions
