The Lady Celts Basketball team defeated the Nortth Salem Vikings by a score of 66 to 23. Their season record now stands at 9-5 and 2-0 in the Central Valley Conference. The next game is Tuesday, Jan. 16 at the South Salem Saxons.

3-point line sinks McNary against Centennial in tourney final
The Celts (5-2) came in averaging 71 points per game and allowing just 48, striving on a fast-paced transition offense stemming from their pressure defense. Centennial (6-2) prefers a slower, more deliberate pace, scoring 58 per game while holding opponents to 50.
Tuesday was definitely that slow Centennial pace. The two teams combined for just 35 points in the first half in a game Centennial would eventually win 55-47.

McNary girls wrestling was busy last weekend with a pair of tournaments, both with positive results for the Lady Celts.
Celts strike silver in the desert
The Celts were down in Las Vegas over the weekend at the Diamondback Duals at Desert Oasis High School, going 6-1 in the 16-school tournament, enroute to a second place finish.
Celtics chop down Forest Grove
Steven Adams scored 21, his second straight 20+ point game, as McNary dominated both ends of the court in a 75-47 win against Forest Grove Tuesday
