Students in the U.S. Air Force cadet class at McNary High School are bracing for the end of their program this year.
The program is ending two years after it was introduced as a replacement to the school’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, which was also cut amid Salem-Keizer School District budget cuts and low student enrollment.
