‘Lion in Winter’ opens on Homegrown stage in Keizer

Medieval satire, family drama, and political tension are coming to the stage at the Keizer Homegrown Theatre starting Friday, Nov. 7.

Linda Baker, the theater’s founder, is directing the “Lion in the Winter.” The play by James Goldman depicts the political tensions among King Henry II and his royal family.

“It’s intense sometimes,” Baker said. “If you want to be able to watch families fight over the holidays, this is the play.”
