The Keizer Police Department staged its second Faith and Blue event on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Central Cristiano Agape Church in Keizer.
The nation-wide event is designed to create stronger and safe communities by opening dialogue between law enforcement and faith-based organizations.
The Keizer event featured free hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages. Attendees enjoyed volleyball, two bounce houses and a K-9 demonstration witjh Max and his handler, Sgt. Jeremy Darst.
Officers and cadets mingled with the crowd, many of whom were parishioners of the church, represented by church counselor Daniel Garica.
