Keizer Police seize thousands in stolen golfing gear

Keizer Police Department seized nearly $7,000 in stolen goods and arrested a 39 year-old Keizer resident who had a warrant from Idaho for burglary and grand theft on April 20.

KPD would not release the name of the suspect, but said the man has been indicted for both crimes after allegedly stealing a large quantity of golf balls and other golfing accessories from a Walmart store in Idaho.

According to Keizer Police, the suspect admitted to stealing the golf balls and some home improvement items from stores located in Oregon, Washington and Idaho during an interview following his arrest. The department recovered some of the stolen merchandise, valued at $6,924.49, from his residence and the items were returned to the stores; Lowe’s Home Improvement and Walmart.
