McNary’s Jonathan Ruiz was named Central Valley Conference boys soccer player of the year on Tuesday. At the same time his coach, Miguel Camarena was named conference Coach of the Year, and first-year girls soccer head coach Josh Rios Noonkester Co-Coach of the Year. In all, 20 Celtic boys and girls were earned all-conference honors.

McNary High School announced on Monday they had hired Josh Rios Noonkester as the new head coach for girls soccer.
Noonkester was an assistant for the Celtics during the 2022 season, and won a state championship at South Salem in 2009 as a player.
