Keizerites can enjoy a luau, cultural artisan fair, and steaming plate of kalua pork at Keizer Rapids Park on Saturday, Aug. 30. Paradise of Samoa, a local heritage group, is hosting the 14th Annual Luau and Fair from noon to 8:30 p.m. after a four-year hiatus.

The McNary High School cheerleading team recently put on a youth camp from Monday, Aug. 4, to Thursday, Aug. 7. About 25 youth attended the camp.

With a 100-degree heat forecast for Saturday, Aug. 23, McNary High School has adjusted the Blue Day schedule.

Highlights of the 160th state fair include 30 new food vendors, a special section for kiddy rides and 12 new carnival rides.
