Here’s the latest from Keizertimes

Good morning.

The long holiday weekend is just ahead.

Memorial Day is Monday, May 26, so just about everything is shut down and many of you will have the day off.

And the community wrapped up another celebration – the 2025 KeizerFEST, put on by the Keizer Chamber of Commerce. The weather proved better than forecast, and people were having a good time at the events at Keizer Rapids Park.

Keizertimes staffers were all over the place through the weekend. We’ve compiled some of the best photographs – and more are coming next week. We’re pretty sure you’d find someone you know in all these pictures – if not yourself.

Organizers generally were happy with this year’s event, again combining the big parade with the festival.

Looking ahead, the city of Keizer is holding a community listening session next Tuesday. This is focused on one question: How should Keizer grow? We’ll get you details soon on what’s behind the question and how you can weigh in.
