Here’s the latest from Keizertimes

Good morning.

One of the most talked about stories in Keizertimes in some time is the account of a major development on River Road.

The project has a long way to go before dirt flies, but the community clearly is deeply interested. As reported, developers plan a mix of housing and commerce on vacant acreage on both sides of River Road. This is south of the entry to McNary Estates, across from the service station at Keizer’s north end.

People commenting so far seem to fall into two camps – this is great and this isn’t great for Keizer.

In the coming months, Keizer residents will have a chance to get their views on the record at City Hall. Several public hearings are going to be needed once plans are finalized. Keizertimes will follow this story closely.
