Celtic wrestling was at the Oregon Wrestling Classic with both boys and girls in competition this weekend.

McNary swim defeated North Salem in both boys and girls competition on Thursday. The girls won 101-37, the boys 99-45.

The Celtics bounced back from a disappointing performance Monday night with a conference win against the North Salem Vikings 59-48 Thursday night.

McNary hosted North Salem in a dual-meet on Wednesday, the Celtics coming away with a 45-36 win.

The Celtics struggled from the field Monday night in a loss to Oregon City, going nearly 15 minutes without a bucket.

It was a week of success on the mat for McNary wrestling last week with a dual meet win and several wrestlers placing at weekend tournaments.
McNary wrestling started off the successful week with a win in the first conference meet of the year.
The Celtics took down the South Salem Saxons 63-18 at South Salem High School on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

McNary swim was in action in a dual meet against South Salem on Thursday. While both boys and girls teams finished second overall, the Celtics had a number of strong finishes, highlighted by Grant Schaffer’s three first-place finishes.
