McNary wrestling spent another weekend on the road, this time at the Oregon Wrestling Classic, hosted by Redmond High School at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday.
Both the boys and girls were in action, with the boys taking fourth place in the third place bracket, and the girls taking first place in the consolation bracket.
The boys squad placed third in Pool A on Friday, losing to Newberg High School 76-0 and Clackamas High School 52-30 before beating Lincoln High School 72-12.
On Saturday, in the third place bracket, the Celtics placed fourth with a 48-36 loss to Cleveland High School.
The girls also placed third in their initial grouping. They lost to La Grande High School 48-6 in the opener, and 42-18 to Sweet Home in their third meet. The Lady Celts beat Cleveland 36-24.
In the consolation bracket on Saturday, McNary took first place, defeating Harrisburg High School 42-18, Cleveland 36-24 and finished the weekend with a 42-18 win against Century High School.
