The city of Keizer is seeing significant financial loss after several weekends of tournaments scheduled for Keizer Little League Park were relocated with little notice.
The loss is short term, but will affect the city’s ability to maintain the park, according to City Manager Adam Brown.
Brown estimated the city has lost $10,000 per canceled tournament, and $40,000 in June alone. The revenue comes from costs to lease the fields and concessions, Brown said.
