Matt Lawyer got his introduction to volunteering through a mentoring program in middle school.
Lawyer’s mentor called on him for projects such as building a playground at Gilbert House Children’s Museum and delivering food for a Meals on Wheels program. Finding an interest in community service, he began building what is now a long list of volunteer experiences across Salem, Keizer and elsewhere.
