Police Scanner – March 23 – March 29
A driver hit parked cars in Salem and Keizer before crashing into yet another parked car on Thursday, March 26, and ended up with multiple charges, according to Keizer police.
As officers reconstructed events, the driver hit at least one vehicle in Salem and then was reported driving in circles and honking on North Shoreline Drive near Shoreline Loop. The driver struck a parked car and drove north, crashing into a parked car on North Windsor Island Road at Orchard Court.
Keizer police arrested Amber L. Stokes, 41, of Salem for DUII, reckless driving, criminal mischief, failure to perform the duties of a driver and resisting arrest.
“Ms. Stokes was transported to the Salem Hospital where she picked up charges of harassment, assault and interfering with a health care facility after she threw water and physically struck hospital employees,” according to Lt. Trevor Wenning of the Keizer Police Department.
• In other police actions, a woman reported that her 16-year-old daughter was in a dressing room at The Thrift Store in Keizer when someone held a camera under the door, possibly recording. The episode was reported at about noon Wednesday, March 25.
•At about 1 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, a Keizer man heard a vehicle crash into his roommate’s parked vehicle in North Churchdale Avenue. The man said he was then outside inspecting the damage when the vehicle returned and he heard several shots. Police took calls about “multiple gun shots” and recovered casings.
• A Keizer man’s vehicle was stolen twice in two days and both times the vehicle was found by Salem police. The victim reported the first theft on Tuesday, March 24. He recovered the vehicle but then discovered it was stolen again the next day. Salem police found the vehicle at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, March 26, and the Keizer owner recovered it.
