Police Department calls: Officers seeking Keizer runaway find weapons

Efforts to locate a runaway juvenile in Keizer triggered a police investigation on Monday, July 21, that recovered three stolen firearms.

Idaho authorities had notified Keizer police the runaway boy may be in the city. He was located in a residential area.

Police wouldn’t disclose other details because the investigation is continuing.

• In other activity, police responded to the Keizer Target store on Friday, July 25, after store employees held two suspected shoplifters.

Drusilla Nelson, 31, of Salem, was arrested for second-degree theft and held on arrest warrants from Salem and Marion County authorities. Mark Lopez, 32, listed as a transient, was arrested for giving officers a false name and also accused of carrying a concealed weapon.

Police said they recovered brass knuckles.
