Police Scanner – May 25 – June 1
Keizer police are seeking a local man in connection with an early morning episode on Tuesday, May 29, that left a 26-year-old woman injured in the street.
Lt. Chris Nelson of the Keizer Police Department said officers responded about 2 a.m. to the 600 block of Northeast Manbrin Drive.
“Witnesses reported that the woman had been hanging onto a moving vehicle before falling to the pavement,” Nelson reported.
The victim was taken to Salem Hospital for treatment.
Nelson said police have probable cause to arrest Victor Cid Villegas, 29, of Keizer for third-degree assault, DUII, reckless endangerment, hit-and-run and driving while suspended.
Anyone with information to locate Villegas is asked to call Keizer police at (503) 390-3713.
• At about 1 a.m. Saturday, May 31, police went to the Safeway parking lot to check on suspicious activity.
Nelson said that Cory Lacey, 40, of Keizer, complained that another man had taken his vehicle keys. The two had been at a local bar before the incident, according to the police report. Lacey was arrested for DUII.
• At 3:40 a.m. Sunday, June 1, police attempted to stop a vehicle on North River Road at Weeks Drive for traffic violations. The driver didn’t immediately stop after patrol car lights were activated. Guadalupe Cruz Hernandez, 30, of Turner, was arrested for DUII, possession of cocaine, driving while suspended and driving uninsured.
