A free outdoor carnival will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 28 at the Southeast Keizer Community Center, 1045 Candlewood Dr. N.E.
The carnival, created by the Salem Mennonite Church and open to all, will have fun activities such as bounce houses, carnival games and many prizes to be won, according to Joseph Penner, Salem Mennonite Church board chair.
The Keizer Fire District is also scheduled to appear with a fire engine, provided they are not called off to work.
The carnival is to carry out the community center mission of providing opportunities for recreation and education for Keizerites.
“We want to help bring the community together,” Penner said.
