Salem-Keizer Public Schools (SKPS) is searching for candidates to fill two open spots on the district budget committee.
The SKPS School Board will interview and appoint candidates for the two open positions at an upcoming February school board meeting, the exact date still to be determined.
Those interested in being candidates must fill out and return a signed application by 4 p.m. on Feb. 2. The application is available at salkeiz.k12.or.us/news/budget-committee-new-member-2023.
Applicants must be registered voters of Salem-Keizer School District 24J and not be employees, officers or agents of the district.
At least one appointee will be from a pool of applicants that serve on the District Equity Advisory Committee (DEAC). The second applicant will be chosen from the remaining pool of candidates, including those on the DEAC.
