Chemeketa Community College is hosting a free Community Wellness & Recovery Workshop series, which covers topics from preserving childhood to digitizing job searches.

Family Fitness: Staying Active Together
This session will explore creative strategies for families to be physically active, including those with limited time.
Discussion will include looking at different options for movement and discuss ways to get and stay motivated. Participants will learn effective, practical strategies that will help them reach their family fitness goals.
Sessions are available Friday, Dec. 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
School at Home
This session will look at what parents have learned so far this fall regarding supporting K-12 students in their learning at home and tackle ways to make winter learning at home even better.
Sessions are available on Dec. 5 and Dec. 12 from 9 to 10 a.m.
Preserving Childhood in 2020: Stress and Resiliency in Children
This session looks at how our lives are looking much different due to the pandemic and natural disasters that have put even more strain on our everyday stressors. Children are experiencing this weirdness as well, which begs the question, “How can we protect our children and their childhood when there is so much uncertainty and unrest?”
Stress, trauma and resiliency in childhood and how we can support our children’s (and our own) emotional health will all be touched on during this workshop.
Sessions are available on Dec. 5, 12 and 19 from 10 to 11 a.m.
Interviewing in 2020
This workshop will discuss tips and hints on how to become better at interviewing, including telephone interviews, Zoom interviews and in person interviews.
Sessions are available on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
