On Sunday, Feb. 2, the main Salem Public Library location will close for construction and seismic upgrades. The library, library parkade, and Peace Plaza will all be closed during construction and used for sorting and staging the project.
A new temporary location will be opened at 1400 Broadway Street N.E. on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The West Salem Branch will be open and maintain services throughout the move and construction phases.
The library is set to reopen in the summer of 2021.
