Keizer leaders eye property tax hike to fund police staffing
Keizer city officials are considering asking voters to approve a five-year property tax increase to keep the Keizer Police Department fully staffed. If the City Council agrees, the measure could go on the November 2026 ballot and would raise more than $4 million a year for police operations. For the average Keizer home, the city’s share of property taxes would increase by about $30 a month.
