The Keizer Police Department introduced four new officers at a Keizer City Council meeting on Monday, Oct. 6.

The Keizer Police Department introduced four new officers at a Keizer City Council meeting on Monday, Oct. 6.

Reviewers found no violations in examining 110 standards including use of force. The review, mandated by state law, should give the public confidence in its police department, said Chief Andrew Copeland.

In front of a standing room only crowd of friends, family and city officials, new Keizer Chief of Police Andrew Copeland was officially
sworn in on Friday, Sept. 29 in the council chambers.

Andrew Copeland will officially be sworn in as Keizer’s fifth police chief on Friday, Sept. 29, surrounded by family and city personnel.

Lt. Andrew Copeland has been promoted to Keizer Police Chief, to succeed John Teague, the city of Keizer announced Wednesday, Sept. 13.
