McNary baseball opened up the OSAA 6A state playoffs with an upset win over No. 8 Lincoln on Monday.
The 5-4 win is the Celts' fourth in a row, and sets up a second round meeting with CVC rival South Salem on Wednesday.

Down to their final out, with a possible three-game losing streak and their second sixth inning collapse in as many days looming, the Lady Celts weren’t ready to let the regular season end on a sour note Tuesday when Westview came to town.

The Lady Celts went into South Salem on Tuesday with a chance to avenge an earlier loss and extend their win streak to four games. And with the 6-0 win, they did both.

The Celtics may have lost to the Olys on Tuesday, but the season finally feels like it's turning around for McNary.

On Friday, McNary track and field was at the Garden City Invitational at Silverton High School, with both the boys and girls finishing in fourth place.

The Lady Celts completed the season sweep over North Salem with a 15-0 win on Friday.
